West Capitol Avenue Streetscape Project

Construction continues between Jefferson Boulevard east to Garden Street. On the north side of West Capitol, curb, gutter and driveways are being installed. A temporary single lane to accommodate westbound traffic has reopened on the north side next to the median island. Also underway is the installation of new sidewalk and pedestrian lighting along the north side of West Capitol.

In the meantime, the south sidewalk of West Capitol is the only path of travel for pedestrians. East bound traffic will remain on the south side of West Capitol. All businesses in the vicinity of construction work are open and accessible. Please drive cautiously and pay attention to traffic/construction signs in the area.

Remember, the construction zone speed limit is 25 MPH.
